Just looking to connect!

Been wanting to share some of my writings but didn’t want to do so on IG.

I started writing in late 2022, not even realizing i was “becoming” a writer (“if you write, you’re a writer”, right?) I was documenting my healing journey, creating little stories which turned into chapters of a book. For some reason I wanted to shape these stories in the best way possible as I wanted them to sound interesting at least, even if they’d never be public. I was constantly editing, trying to hone this new-found skill and I was having fun with it, getting lost on my computer for hours.

In early 2024 I started writing poetry, purely by chance. It stemmed from an online week-long journaling challenge (thank you Nadia!) and I was surprised by the poems I was creating. I was loving this new-found creative outlet, coming up with poem after poem.

Then in 2025, I started writing fiction as I had 2 ideas for books. Once again, I found myself on the computer, lost in my writing, AND having such fun. I also found my voice with writing. I had started discovering it with my poetry but with my fiction writing I REALLY uncovered it, finding joy in the fact that I realized I could shape my characters into anything I wanted: make them look, say, act, dress, etc. in MY own way, how I saw fit. THIS was F-U-N. And now, I find it hard to stop.
