Yellow Leaf Falling
on the cusp of Autumn...
The yellow leaf
Falls
from the tree
So graceful
Elegant
as can be
Softly drifting down
It floats with ease
Then taken away
By a small breeze
Where it lands
in the creek
on a small pile
Where it shall stay
For just a while
Until it is pulled
With the water’s flow
Gently moving
Saying hello
to the other debris
As it moves
further away
We watch it fade
like autumn days.
